Spring is coming.

Spring is here! or at least all the chores have arrived. We have been busy getting everything on the farm ready for a great 2021 growing season. This time of year we quickly go from the lull of the winter season to hitting the ground a full speed. This year's first flock of chicks will be arriving on farm this week in anticipation of the first growth of grass on the pasture. With in a few short weeks those fluffy yellow balls will be plump white chickens happily grazing on grasshoppers, worms and all the fresh grass they could hope for!

As always there is plenty to be done to ready the vegetable garden, where our laying hens have been making their home over the winter. They will soon be evicted having done their job of weeding the garden beds and adding their natural fertilizer back to the soil. We are happy to announce that we will be making our premier at The Islands Farmers Market, on Wilmington Island, this year beginning on February 27. We are looking forward to a great season and to seeing you all at The Islands Farmers Market!
